Resumo:   The study about the relationships between affectivity and cognition among children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a current and complex. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the participation of parents in rule game workshops, along with the child with ADHD, contributes to the modification of the perception regarding aspects of affectivity and cognition of these children. Eight dyads caregivers-children with ADHD participated in the study. The instruments used were the psychological reports of the children, the "Protocol for Diagnostic Hypothesis for ADHD" (parents' version) and the "Stories on Affective Aspects" protocol by parents before and after the workshops. The results demonstrated the occurrence of positive and negative changes in parents' evaluations of their children. It was observed that workshops with rule games contributed to some changes in parents' perception of their children with ADHD.
