LITERACIES, TRANSMEDIA NARRATIVE AND MULTIMODALITY: routes in-between the typographic and the digital worlds

Resumo: | This paper presents results of a research in which contemporary literacy practices that transit in-between the online and the offline worlds are investigated. The researchers adopted Digital Ethnography as a methodological approach. The corpus consists of excerpts from different digital pages publicly shared by a profile entitled “Adjetivou” and from the print book “Colecionando partes de mim” (Nogueira, 2018). The analysis is grounded in Bakhtinian discussions about languages, in the Literacies studies and in conceptualizations of multimodal and transmedia narrative. The data discussion highlights the role of digital environments as affinity spaces and its use for the elaborations of “writings of the self”. It also focuses on evident interfaces between such environments and knowledge/practices from the analogic world. It is also suggested that one needs to take into consideration that reading and writing nowadays are literacy practices supported by resources that combine acts of the subjects that are typical from both the typographic and the digital societies, what has implications for teacher instruction, particularly in the field of language education. |

Este artigo apresenta resultados da pesquisa que examinou práticas de letramento contemporâneas que tramitam entre os universos on-line e off-line. Para tanto, encontrou-se amparo metodológico na Etnografia Digital. O corpus é formado por extratos de páginas na internet do perfil “Adjetivou” e do livro de poesias “Colecionando partes de mim”, de Nogueira (2018). A análise está fundamentada em discussões bakhtinianas acerca da linguagem, nos estudos dos Letramentos e no conceito de narrativa multimodal e transmídia. A discussão dos dados aponta o papel dos ambientes digitais como espaços de afinidade e para a construção de “escritas do eu”, focalizando sua evidente interface com saberes e fazeres do mundo analógico. Sugere-se também que é preciso considerar que a leitura e a escrita na atualidade estão sustentadas por recursos que integram práticas sociais características tanto da sociedade tipográfica quanto da sociedade digital, o que apresenta implicações para a formação docente, especialmente no campo da educação linguística.
