Resumo: This article discusses the memorials and communicative aspects of a specific sepulchral expression through the analysis of some examples of a funerary art phenomenon known as transi tombs or cadaver tombs. Although these tombs are not a unique phenomenon in medieval England, in our article the spatial selection will focus on English territory, and our temporal scope is limited to the fifteenth century. We understand the funeral sculpture thus presents itself as a strong sociotransmitter, a concept worked by Joël Candau, through which exploits the ability that some objects have to form a memorial chain.

Universidade LaSalle - Unilasalle CanoasCAPESSantos, Amanda BasilioSantos, Carlos Alberto Ávila2017-08-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionPesquisa Históricaapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Mouseion/article/view/326910.18316/mouseion.v0i27.3269Mouseion; n. 27 (2017); p. 89-100Mouseion; n. 27 (2017); p. 89-1001981-7207reponame:Mouseion (Canoas)instname:Centro Universitário La Salle (Unilasalle)instacron:UNILASALLEporhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Mouseion/article/view/3269/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Mouseion/article/downloadSuppFile/3269/608info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2022-05-25T18:37:37Zoai:ojs.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br:article/3269Revistahttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Mouseionhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Mouseion/oai||revista.mouseion@unilasalle.edu.br1981-72071981-7207opendoar:2022-05-25T18:37:37Mouseion (Canoas) - Centro Universitário La Salle (Unilasalle)false
