“A Casa do Conselheiro Maciel”: Animated visit to the headquarters of the “UFPel Doce Museum”

The sequence of images on which this text is based, corresponds to a synthesis of the video “The House of the Councillor”, on display in the long-term exhibition “Between Salt and Sugar: Sweet through the Senses”, which occupies the central exhibition area of the Museu do Doce of the Federal University of Pelotas. The purpose of this resource is to highlight to the visitor the condition of a “musealized” good in which the historical building was established when it was occupied by the Museum. Both the history of the house and of the Museum are informed, and the occasional link between the two ended up creating a circumstance of double protection and significance. Finally, the exhibition resource of the video is pointed out as an integral element of the accessibility plan of the Museu do Doce, which begins with the exhibition and with the project from which it results.
