Resumo: This paper presents a reflection about two slideshows produced by american photographer Nan Goldin, Ballad of Sexual Dependency and Heartbeat, as from these main aspects: photography between art and document and Goldin’s work as a hybrid between photography and audiovisual. For this purpose, we approach conceptual questions relative to the affirmation of photography as art and then we begin a discussion about how the aesthetic value of Goldin’s work owes to the narrative and device through which images are presented, approximating them to the fruition experience of cinema.
