“Itapuã” Colony Hospital: a cultural herytage in exhibition

Resumo: This article is intended to address 06 (six) exhibitions held in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre – RS that explored the Itapuã Colony Hospital (HCI) trajectory, about the theme of their narratives. The importance of the museological space, characterized by the framework of the exhibitions, as a source of information and possible trigger of interest about a theme, and can mobilize the recovery and the need to preserve the legitimacy history of a place. A heritage of HCI can be represented in an exhibition both in a material perspective, taking into account the physical and architectural part of the institution, as immaterial, characterized by the memories and stories of life there developed. Therefore, in this work to understand how these initiatives have been and are drawn up.

Therefore, in this work to understand how these initiatives have been and are drawn up.Este artigo tem o intuito de abordar 06 (seis) exposições realizadas na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre – RS que exploraram a trajetória do Hospital Colônia Itapuã (HCI) abordando a temática de suas narrativas. Analisa-se a importância do espaço museal, caracterizado pela estrutura das exposições, enquanto fonte de informação e possível desencadeador de interesse acerca de um tema, podendo mobilizar a valorização e legitimação da necessidade de preservação da história de um local. Considera-se que um patrimônio como o do HCI pode ser representado em uma exposição tanto em uma perspectiva material, levando em conta a parte física e arquitetônica da instituição, quanto imaterial, caracterizada pelas memórias e histórias de vida que ali se desenvolveram.
