Challenges of the Brazilian psychological association on education to incorporate public health into curriculum requirements

Resumo: | In Brazil, members of educational entities related to certain professions recognized by the public policy of the Government Health System, such as psychology, have gathered to reflect and debate the development of human resources. This study reviews the progress of the Brazilian Association of Education in Psychology (ABEP) as it has deepened the educational requirements for undergraduates (especially on issues related to teacher education and training in psychology), post-graduates (including multi residence in health), and science communication. The author concludes that the task of training psychologists to best serve public health is complicated evolution and requires further research and debate. In addition, the author suggests that participants in this debate be more intra-active and thoughtful, and less passive and uncritical. |

Sendo assim, este estudo objetiva demonstrar que a Associação Brasileira de Ensino de Psicologia (ABEP) desenvolve ações voltadas para a pesquisa, para a graduação (sobretudo nas questões relativas a formação de professores e ao estágio em psicologia), para a pós-graduação lato sensu (incluindo a residência multiprofissional na área da saúde) e stricto sensu e divulgação científica.
