This study aims to cover the need to think about the practice of sustainable consumption, in view of its challenges and possibilities. Wanted to give particular attention to the issue involving the planned obsolescence of products in the current scenario of the consumer society. Highlights the importance and topicality of the subject with a view to the global context of concern about environmental degradation and constitutional perspective to bring to future generations a means healthy and balanced environment. In subject of analysis are sought what are the alternatives for disposal of products that can provide sustainable benefits to the environment, considering public policy and legislation from the standpoint that there is no play off the planet. To meet these premises was used the deductive method of approach and procedure monographic method, combined with systemic base theory.
