University social responsibility and its applicability in higher education

Resumo: This article aimed to analyze the national and international scientific production from 2004 to 2019 regarding University Social Responsibility (USR) and its application in public’s higher education institutions. For that, an integrative literature review was carried out in the Web of Science. The results reveal categories of discussion about RSU: its concept, applicability, ways of evaluating, and also its contributions and limitations for higher education. Despite the USR being under construction, advances can be signaled, especially regarding the impacts that promotes.

Para isso uma revisão integrativa de literatura foi realizada na Web of Science. Os resultados revelam categorias de discussão acerca da RSU: seu conceito, aplicabilidade, formas de avaliação, e também suas contribuições e limitações para a educação superior.
