The essence of Marvel Heroes: the weapons as the foundation stone

Resumo: This paper exposes a warlike apology of 23 movies of a cinema studio: the characters dominate or become weapons. The armament aspect of the movies are evident in a semiotic analysis method and the major contribution of the study is deepening the meaning attributed to weapons. Actor and object are united in a process of essentialization to protect the mother land. The analysis detects a problem: the audience interacts with the movie icons without perceiving the ideology of weapons.
