Resumo: | Introduction: The internet has been used as a tool to promote nutritional education among different publics. Objective: To evaluate the effect of nutritional education on the anthropometric profile of adolescents with excess body weight, in person and/or online monitoring through a social network. Methods: Participants were evaluated for anthropometry (weight, height, Body Mass Index and waist and neck circumferences) and nutritional knowledge. The monitoring in person and/or online (by internet) took place during 4 months with the passing on of guidelines on healthy eating habits. The Wilcoxon Test was used to compare the effect of monitoring on nutritional status and nutritional knowledge, the significance of 5%.Results: At the end of the study, the online monitored group (OMG) presented more eutrophic individuals with adequate neck and waist circumference, reduced body weight and had higher mean scores in the applied questionnaires, and more individuals classified as excellent according to their knowledge. Conclusion: The online monitoring was efficient not only as a means of obtaining nutritional information, but as a method to follow the reduction of body weight and the perimeters evaluated, especially for individuals who presented obesity. |

Moreira, Márlon MartinsSantos, Virgínia SouzaTeixeira, Vitor Hugo da Costa Gomes MoreiraAlmeida, Martha Elisa Ferreira de2019-07-03info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/view/547410.18316/sdh.v7i2.5474Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano; v. 7, n. 2 (2019); p. 25-33Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano; v. 7, n. 2 (2019); p. 25-332317-8582reponame:Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humanoinstname:Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)instacron:UNILASALLEporhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/view/5474/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/downloadSuppFile/5474/1052https://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/downloadSuppFile/5474/1053Direitos autorais 2019 Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humanoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2022-03-31T18:55:25Zoai:ojs.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br:article/5474Revistahttp://www.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimentohttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/oaisdh@unilasalle.edu.br2317-85822317-8582opendoar:2022-03-31T18:55:25Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano - Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)false |
