Resumo: Introduction: The validation process involves checking the psychometric properties of a given instrument to verify its use in a specific population. Objective: Validate the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS 2.0), for its applicability in the adult Brazilian population with low vision.Material and methods: 125 people with low vision, mean age 49.9 years (± 1.3) and male prevalence (59.2%), registered in visually impaired associations in the cities of Uberlândia-MG, Uberaba-MG were evaluated and Ribeirão Preto - SP. For the validation of convergent / divergent criteria, WHOQOL-Abbreviated was used. Three stages of interviews were carried out, with an interval of seven days. Results: In the 1st evaluation stage, there was moderate validation of internal consistency in most domains (α≥0.64), except in school and work activities (α = 0.14). For the validation of the convergent and divergent criterion type, there was a moderate significant correlation between some of the WHODAS 2.0 domains with the WHOQOL-Abbreviated domains. In the 2nd and 3rd stage 100 people participated, with very good reliability in the test-retest (ICC = 0.69) and excellent reliability in the interevaluators (ICC> 0.82).Conclusion: WHODAS 2.0 was considered valid for people with low vision, therefore, useful for assessing the functionality of this population.

Universidade LaSalle - Unilasalle CanoasSalomão, Angelica EmboabaLeite, Camila FerreiraCastro, Shamyr SulyvanShimano, Suraya Gomes NovaisSilveira, Laís SampaioPereira, Karina2021-02-26info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/view/629510.18316/sdh.v9i1.6295Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano; v. 9, n. 1 (2021)Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano; v. 9, n. 1 (2021)2317-8582reponame:Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humanoinstname:Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)instacron:UNILASALLEporhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/view/6295/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/downloadSuppFile/6295/1291Direitos autorais 2021 Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humanoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2022-03-22T13:00:55Zoai:ojs.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br:article/6295Revistahttp://www.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimentohttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/oaisdh@unilasalle.edu.br2317-85822317-8582opendoar:2022-03-22T13:00:55Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano - Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)false
