It is a study about the clinical action of psychologists focused on health prevention, highlighting the phenomenon of violence against women. For this, a bibliographic review was performed using the PICO strategy. Initially, we present an understanding about the meaning of the clinic in the existential phenomenological perspective. Next, we report on health prevention at the heart of the psychological clinical action focused on the phenomenon of violence against women. In this perspective, we emphasize the importance of rethinking the psychological practice towards the prevention of aggravations to human suffering in situations of violence. The intervention of the psychologist can make individual or group care possible for women and their families, in order to understand and accept their suffering and its repercussions on daily living; as well as to consolidate social and community ties.
