This article aims to present a discussion about territorial coverage and peasant territorialities in the south of Piauí state, analyzing the process of capitalist expansion in the field, via agribusiness, evidencing the territorial transformations and their implications to the social field subjects. We will approach this phenomenon from the peasant perspective also, using the 'Brejo da Conceição' as the basis of this search, rural area of Currais town at Piauí state, demonstrating relationship of connection with their land and characterizing the aspects of the peasant economy that points to their resignification and permanence in the territory. In our investigation, we problematize: how the link with the land affects territorial coverage and peasant territorialities in the process of territorial constitution within the capitalist expansion in the field? From the theoretical axis point of view, we use raffestin's (1993) conceptions about the territory as a reference, addressing its concept and conflicting character; (1999; 2007), in relation to the transformations of agrarian space in the Brazilian context; woortmann (1990), Shanin (2005; 2008) and Freitas (2017; 2020) about the concept of peasant and peasant farmer, emphasizing some implications; and Heidrich (2006; a 2017) about territorial ties.
