Análise das transformações na Terra Indígena Paquiçamba a partir da construção da Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte/PA

Resumo: Environmental impacts have become the subject of intense national and international debates, in which heads of state and the scientific community discuss the importance of environmental preservation, especially in sensitive areas of the Amazon Biome. This issue becomes even more important when discussing the contributions of indigenous peoples to the preservation of nature, as well as the environmental and social impacts they suffer from the implementation of infrastructure projects. This context includes the Paquiçamba Indigenous Land, where there have been major transformations since the arrival of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant. In this sense, the research sought to analyze the geoecological changes suffered in the Paquiçamba Indigenous Land after the installation of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant. As a methodological procedure, remote sensing techniques were used to classify, segment and interpret images from the Landsat 5 and 9 satellites in 2011 and 2023. Among the results, it was possible to observe that considerable changes in the landscape were caused by the decrease in water and the increase in exploitation areas, making this an unstable environment for maintaining biodiversity as well as the traditions of the Juruna (Yudjá) indigenous peoples.

Esta cuestión adquiere aún más importancia cuando se discuten las contribuciones de los pueblos indígenas a la preservación de la naturaleza, así como los impactos ambientales y sociales que sufren con la implantación de proyectos de infraestructuras. Este contexto incluye la Tierra Indígena Paquiçamba, donde se han producido grandes transformaciones desde la llegada de la Central Hidroeléctrica de Belo Monte. En este sentido, la investigación buscó analizar los cambios geoecológicos sufridos en la Tierra Indígena Paquiçamba tras la instalación de la Central Hidroeléctrica Belo Monte. Como procedimiento metodológico, se utilizaron técnicas de teledetección para clasificar, segmentar e interpretar imágenes de los satélites Landsat 5 y 9 de 2011 y 2023. Entre los resultados, fue posible observar que cambios considerables en el paisaje fueron causados por la disminución del agua y el aumento de las áreas de explotación, haciendo de este un ambiente inestable para mantenimiento de la biodiversidad, así como de las tradiciones de los pueblos indígenas Juruna (Yudjá).Os impactos ambientais têm tornado-se tema de intensos debates nacionais e internacionais, nos quais chefes de Estados e a comunidade científica discutem a importância da preservação ambiental, sobretudo em áreas sensíveis do Bioma Amazônia. Essa temática torna-se ainda mais importante quando se discute as contribuições dos povos originários para a preservação da natureza, bem como, os impactos ambientais e sociais que estes sofrem com a implementação de projetos de infraestrutura. Neste contexto, se insere a terra Indígena Paquiçamba, onde houvera grandes transformações desde a chegada da Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte. Neste sentido, a pesquisa buscou analisar as modificações geoecológicas sofridas na TI Paquiçamba depois da instalação da Usina Hidroelétrica de Belo Monte. Como procedimento metodológicos, foram utilizadas técnicas de sensoriamento remoto para a classificação, segmentação e interpretação das imagens dos satélites Landsat 5 e 9 nos anos de 2011 e 2023.
