Geo-Temporal Analysis of the Occupation Process in Humid Areas of the Municipal Headquarters of Santana – Amapá/BR

This work aimed to analyze the spatial distribution of dwellings in wetlands (ressacas) of the municipal headquartes of Santana, state of Amapá, for the years 2009, 2015 and 2019, enabling the quantification of this process and the discussion of possible consequences on urban environmental quality. The occupancy analysis was performed from the visual interpretation of high spatial resolution remote sensor images, by the manual scanning method, with the help of free software QGIS version 3.4. The analysis was divided into two stages: a) General analysis of “ressacas” and; b) Fragmented analysis, through the delimitation of spatial units: Fonte Nova, Paraíso, Central, Nova Brasília, Remédios and Provedor. The results point to an increase in the number of occupations in the wetlands of the highest population pressure. The portions of "ressacas" contained in Fonte Nova, Paraíso with 75% and 59,7% of preserved areas, respectively, while in Remédios, Central and Nova Brasília obtained 100% of their anthropized "ressacas" areas at the end of the analysis, thus demonstrating, a growing occupancy dynamic on the edge of "ressacas", influencing its state of preservation.
