Continued ethnobotanical approach in remnant community Quilombo Palmeirinha, Maria de Pedras da Cruz - MG

It took place from August to September 2015 survey of ethnobotanical data related to the use of medicinal plants in Remnant community Quilombo Palmeirinha, located in Pedras de Maria da Cruz, municipality of mesoregion the north of Minas Gerais. Information was collected through community observation, way of life of the inhabitants and culture, as well as through interviews and recording of information collected in the socioeconomic and cultural field. They interviewed 44 residents representing 6.28% of the estimated population above 18 years, and cited 51 species of medicinal plants. According to profile highlights the female 70.45% in an age range of 60 years longer with per capita income of 47.73% below 2 minimum wages. Therefore, among the participants, it is clear that more resort to the use of medicinal plants as treatment of diseases affected are the elderly, because most live in precarious situations with low purchasing power and have greater knowledge and tradition related to the subject. On the other hand, it is clear to understand that young adults are affected by diseases less frequently and also have a greater tendency to use allopathic drugs.
