Environmental impacts in the low course of the Pajeú river, in the urban area of Floresta, Pernambuco

Resumo: The colonization and industrialization processes brought the urbanization of Brazilian cities, causing significant environmental and socioeconomic problems. Thus, the municipality of Floresta, which was part of the cattle inland route to the São Francisco River in the colonial period, was occupied by livestock and later grew and specialized in the sectors of agriculture and small industries, which modified the use and land occupation and, consequently, caused environmental impacts. Thus, the present work aims to identify the environmental impacts that occurred in the low course of the Pajeú River, in the urban area of ​​Floresta, analyzing them in a systemic and comparative way the impacts that occurred in the entire hydrographic basin of the Pajeú River and in the light of the laws municipal, state and federal environmental policies, in addition to bringing mitigating measures to these problems encountered. For this, a field visit, bibliographical surveys, construction of a thematic map of the situation of the riparian forest and the interaction network of environmental impacts were carried out. From this, it was found that the study area is quite uncharacterized as to the original situation, as well as in other municipalities in the Pajeú watershed, requiring mitigating actions. Environmental laws exist, however, they lack rigor and compliance with them.

Así, el municipio de Floresta, que en la época colonial formaba parte de la ruta ganadera al interior del río São Francisco, fue ocupado por la ganadería y luego creció y se especializó en los sectores de la agricultura y la pequeña industria, lo que modificó el uso. y ocupación de tierras y, en consecuencia, causó impactos ambientales. Así, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar los impactos ambientales ocurridos en el curso bajo del río Pajeú, en la zona urbana de Floresta, analizando de forma sistémica y comparativa los impactos que ocurrieron en toda la cuenca hidrográfica del río Pajeú y a la luz de políticas ambientales municipales, estatales y federales, además de traer medidas mitigadoras a estos problemas encontrados. Para ello se realizó una visita de campo, levantamientos bibliográficos, construcción de un mapa temático de la situación del bosque de ribera y la red de interacción de impactos ambientales. A partir de esto, se encontró que el área de estudio se encuentra bastante poco caracterizada en cuanto a la situación original, así como en otros municipios de la cuenca del Pajeú, requiriendo acciones de mitigación. Existen leyes ambientales, sin embargo, carecen de rigor y cumplimiento de las mismas.Os processos de colonização e de industrialização trouxeram a urbanização das cidades brasileiras causando significativos problemas ambientais e socioeconômicos. Assim, o município de Floresta, que fazia parte da rota de interiorização do gado para o rio São Francisco no período colonial, foi ocupado para a pecuária e posteriormente cresceu e se especializou nos setores da agricultura e de pequenas indústrias, o que modificou o uso e a ocupação do solo e, consequentemente, causou impactos ambientais. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar os impactos ambientais ocorridos no baixo curso do rio Pajeú, na área urbana de Floresta, analisando-os de forma sistêmica e comparativa os impactos ocorridos em toda bacia hidrográfica do rio Pajeú e à luz das leis ambientais municipais, estaduais e federais, além de trazer medidas mitigadoras para esses problemas encontrados. Para isto, realizou-se visita de campo, levantamentos bibliográficos, construção de mapa temático da situação da mata ciliar e da rede de interação de impactos ambientais. A partir disso, constatou-se que a área de estudo está bastante descaracterizada quanto à situação original, assim como em outros municípios da bacia hidrográfica do Pajeú, necessitando de ações mitigadoras.
