Resumo: Richard Gardner definiu a Síndrome de Alienação Parentalcomo o ato de programar uma criança para odiar um deseus genitores, trazendo dessa forma vários problemas econflitos para a criança. O presente artigo possui comoobjetivo apresentar as causas da Alienação Parental. Paraisso foram percorridos o contexto familiar e suas transformações,abordando a ruptura conjugal associado tambémao papel do psicólogo na mediação do conflito e do tratamento.
