Resumo: The purpose of this article is to analyze the difficulties experienced by female intrapreneurs participating in the Sebrae Prefeito Entrepreneur Award project. This project is currently in its 11th edition and is open nationwide, aiming to encourage and recognize municipal managers who adopt public policies focused on entrepreneurship and local economic and social development. Additionally, this research is classified as qualitative and utilizes the documentary method for data collection and analysis. The documents were collected from the SEBRAE website, specifically from a dedicated section, and the projects of six nationally awarded female mayors were analyzed. The findings of this article highlight the main difficulties of a social and economic nature, related to their political position, such as political, bureaucratic, educational, and resource-related issues. The research contributes to expanding the debate and reflection on the inclusion of women in public intrapreneurship and politics, paving the way for the construction of a more just and equal society. As practical implications, inclusion and benefits can serve as an incentive for other mayors to implement their projects, thus contributing to society, as well as indicating ways to overcome difficulties during the execution of future projects.
