Detection of design incompatibilities between traditional 2d and bim methodology: a comparative study

Resumo: | Project compatibilization aims to find and correct the incompatibilities between the different design disciplines of a project, and is considered a phase of great relevance for the construction process of a building. At present days, in the Architecture, Engineering and Civil Construction Industry (AEC), this task still is performed predominantly in the conventional manner: overlay of floor plans in 2D CAD systems. The BIM methodology (Building Information Modeling) presents a more viable and productive solution for designers and project coordinators. This article aimed to compare and analyze two methodologies, and for that, the comparative research method was used, where the detection of incompatibilities was performed between: conventional method in 2D CAD, interference checking in BIM modeling software (Revit®) and compatibility in BIM project coordination software (Navisworks®), on a multifamily residential building. The results showed advantages in the use of specific project coordination software, such as Navisworks® for the compatibilization process, in addition to a significant increase of interference detection using BIM technology compared with the conventional 2D method. |

A compatibilização de projetos objetiva encontrar e corrigir as incompatibilidades entre as diferentes disciplinas de projeto de um empreendimento, e é tida como uma etapa de grande relevância para o processo construtivo das edificações. Atualmente, na Indústria da Arquitetura, Engenharia e Construção Civil (AEC), a compatibilização ainda é realizada predominantemente da maneira convencional: sobreposição de plantas baixas em sistemas CAD 2D. A metodologia BIM (Building Information Modeling - Modelagem da Informação da Construção) apresenta solução mais viável e produtiva para projetistas e coordenadores de projetos. Este artigo teve como objetivo comparar duas metodologias, e para isso, foi utilizado o método de pesquisa comparativo, onde a detecção de incompatibilidades foi realizada no método convencional em CAD 2D, por meio de checagem de interferência em aplicativo de modelagem BIM (Revit®) e compatibilização em aplicativo de coordenação de projetos BIM (Navisworks®), em uma edificação residencial multifamiliar.
