Resumo: The composition, fractionation of proteins and the in vitro digestibility of the leaf of sixteen cassava cultivars were evaluated. Cultivars (Baianinha, Cascuda, IAC-90, Paraguaia, 5501; 5502; 5506; 5509; 5603; 5621; 5803; 5925; 6057; 864/10) were selected in a previously established area, then three plants were randomly selected within each variety, randomizing three replicates, which were harvested to the leaves manually. The cassava leaves present great nutritional potential to be used by ruminants as a source of forage, and the cultivars that stand out most for use in ruminant nutrition are Santa Helena, IAC 90, 5506,5603, 6057, 5509,5803 and 5502. In another the objective of this study was to evaluate the fermentation profile and microbiological quality of cassava top silage of six cassava cultivars (IAC 90, 5721, 5803, 5929, 6057). Silages were evaluated at 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 and 56 days of storage. The proportion of dry matter (DM), ethereal extract (EE) mineral matter (MM), and crude protein (CP) were evaluated; besides determination of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF). pH evaluation was performed at the time of silo opening. Microbiological analyzes were done for enterobacteria, lactic acid bacteria and clostridium, as well as fungi and yeasts. The use of different cultivars of cassava to obtain silage can be considered a nutritionally viable alternative, since besides not deteriorating the ensiled material still maintains the contents of nutrients of the cassava area at high levels and it is recommended independently of the variety used. In another study, the objective was to evaluate the cumulative in vitro gas production and in vitro digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein and neutral detergent fiber of cassava top of fresh and ensiled cultivars. The cassava top of the cultivars of cassava: 5721, 5803, IAC 90, 5925, 6057 and Paraguaia were used, which were analyzed in natura and silage with 28 and 56 days for the evaluation of the fractionation of protein divided into fraction A, B1 , B2, B3 and C, total carbohydrates (CT) and non-fibrous carbohydrates (CNF). Carbohydrate fractions were performed in fractions A + B1, B2 and C. Analyzes of in vitro digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein and neutral detergent fiber were performed. In this way the process of ensilage of cassava top improves the in vitro dry matter digestibility and increases the total in vitro gas production of different cultivars of cassava, with IAC 90 and Paraguay being the most effective. In a study with cows, the objective was to evaluate the substitution of corn silage for cassava top silage in the diet of lactating cows. Five Holstein cows were used, distributed in a 5x5 Latin square, with periods of 18 days, 12 for adaptation and the other for data collection. The treatments evaluated were corn silage replacements (0%, 15%, 30%, 45% and 60%) by cassava top silage. Cassava top silage may alter the contents of milk solids (fat, protein and lactose) but have no effect on milk production, besides inclusion does not alter nutrient intake, digestibility and microbial synthesis and the blood metabolites indicate that there are no liver problems for the animals.

Submitted by Helena Bejio (helena.bejio@unioeste.br) on 2019-05-25T01:10:19Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Tese Doutorado Rodrigo Tinini- Final.pdf: 1725307 bytes, checksum: d527002fb6f0ad1adc952e1d918afe79 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2019-05-25T01:10:19Z (GMT). description The composition, fractionation of proteins and the in vitro digestibility of the leaf of sixteen cassava cultivars were evaluated.
