The search for new ways of energy sustainability and the use of alternative sources of renewable energy has become a major challenge for humanity in recent decades. In this context, the use of renewable energy systems can be of great importance for the agricultural sector. The present work aimed to dimension and technically-economically evaluate two photovoltaic energy systems (on-grid and off-grid), for an aviary with dimensions of 14 mx 150 m located in a rural property in the western region of Paraná, in the municipality of Rattlesnake. With the use of the history of electricity consumption over a 12-month period of the rural property, in addition to the average solar irradiation for the location of 4.94 kWh/m2/day, the dimensioning was carried out for the on-grid and off-grid photovoltaic systems. grid. At the end of the work, it was possible to verify that the on-grid system presented more advantageous economic viability parameters than the off-grid system.
