The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of five stocking densities (10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 fish/m³) on productive performance, proximate composition, hematological parameters and on silver catfish Rhamdia voulezi parasitology for 120 days. 450 silver catfish were used with an average initial weight of 130 ± 7.31 g and average initial length of 22.0 ± 4.28 cm, that were distributed in 15 geodesic tanks in five different densities: 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 fish per tank, thus composing the five treatments. A completely randomized experimental design was used to implement the study that consisted of five treatments with three replications each. 15 geodetic tanks with 1,0 m³ net volume were installed in a dug pond with 200m2. At the end of the experimental period, the fish were weighed and measured to determine the productive performance and subsequently underwent hematological, parasitology and chemical composition analyzes. Variables with normal distribution were subjected to variance analysis (ANOVA) and averages were compared through Tukey test at 5 % level. The analysis of variance did not identify significant differences in performance parameters evaluated, excepting final biomass with values ranging from 1504 to 6120 grams. Regarding the fish carcass proximate composition, the parameters evaluated were not statistically different between the densities. Statistical differences were not detected in hematological parameters evaluated. In the parasitic analysis of fish, no statistical differences between the densities were found. The density of 50 fish per m3 does not affect the productive performance, proximate composition, hematology and parasitology of confined silver catfish, and produces greater biomass.
