Resumo: | OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to verify the quality of life of Physical Education (PE) professionals working in different contexts, in addition to comparing the quality of life according to gender, age, professional work experience and weekly workload.METHODS: Fifty-eight PE professionals participated in the study (25 men and 33 women) with a mean of 29.8±6.7 years. It was applied an anamnesis interview and an abbreviated version of the questionnaire World Health Quality of Life (WHOQOL-bref) to the participants. Data normality was verified using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. To compare the quality of life scores between the different groups, the Mann-Whitney test was used for non-normal data and Student’s t test for independent samples. Moreover, the Friedman test was performed for the comparison between the four quality of life domains. The significance level adopted was p<0.05.RESULTS: Concerning the results, the quality of life of the PE professionals was satisfactory, in which the highest score was for the social domain (73.3±14.6), while the lowest was for the environmental domain (62.9±12.9). In addition, no significant differences were found for the quality of life scores between men and women, as well as among the groups divided according age, to their weekly workload and their professional work experience.CONCLUSION: Therefore, we conclude that the scores of quality of life of PE professionals were high, and that gender, age, professional work experience and weekly workload did not influence the scores of the quality of life domains. |

In addition, no significant differences were found for the quality of life scores between men and women, as well as among the groups divided according age, to their weekly workload and their professional work experience.CONCLUSION: Therefore, we conclude that the scores of quality of life of PE professionals were high, and that gender, age, professional work experience and weekly workload did not influence the scores of the quality of life domains.OBJETIVO: O objetivo do estudo foi verificar a qualidade de vida de profissionais bacharéis em Educação Física (EF) atuantes em diferentes contextos, além de comparar a qualidade de vida de acordo com o sexo, faixa etária, tempo de atuação e carga horária semanal de trabalho.MÉTODOS: Participaram do estudo 58 profissionais de EF (25 homens e 33 mulheres) com média de idade de 29,8±6,7 anos. Foi aplicado uma ficha de anamnese e o questionário World Health Quality of Life versão abreviada (WHOQOL-bref).
