Resumo: The present study had as objective to compare three indirect tests of evaluation of the cardiorespiratory fitness with the direct test of gas analysis in male adolescents between 13 and 14 years old with mean (13.52±1.03). The sample was composed for 15 boys. It was used descriptive statistics, linear correlation of Pearson (r) and test “t” of Student for par data, adopting two levels of significance p<0.05 and p<0.01. The results had pointed a high correlation (r=0.78) to the 20m shuttle run test, presenting significative values (t=-0.843; p<0.01). A moderate correlation (r=0.62) for the one mile test, presenting similar values (t=2.164, p<0.05). Already of Cooper test observed a moderate low correlation (r=0.44), however without significance statistics and with different values (t=3.181; p>0.05). This, it seems to be evidenced that the 20m shuttle run test was more precise to evaluate the maximum consumption of oxygen in the ages of 13 and 14 years this study.

This, it seems to be evidenced that the 20m shuttle run test was more precise to evaluate the maximum consumption of oxygen in the ages of 13 and 14 years this study.O presente estudo teve como objetivo comparar três testes indiretos de avaliação da aptidão cardiorrespiratória com o teste direto de análise de gases em adolescentes escolares do sexo masculino entre 13 e 14 anos.
