ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF LOW CARBON AGRICULTURE TECHNOLOGIES IN SAVANAH REGIONS

Resumo: In the current scenario of global warming, the expansion into new areas has pushedthe increase of deforestation having as a consequence the increase in greenhouse gas emissions. In this context on global warming, Brazil proposes to stimulate and deploy, a low-carbon farming. The change only occurs if the adopted technology brings greater gains to producers. Thus, this research showed that, primarily for the producers surveyed, integrated systems (crop-livestock-forest) are economically efficientand generate higher returns compared to specialized systems, except for soy culture. So it is likely that in the medium term there is a change of behaviour of producers in the adoption of these technologies to low carbon agriculture.

En este contexto sobre el calentamiento global, Brasil propone estimular y desplegar, una agricultura de bajo carbono. El cambio sólo se produce si la tecnología adoptada aporta mayores ganancias a los productores. Por lo tanto, esta investigación demostró que, sobre todo de los productores encuestados, sistemas integrados (cultivos-animales-bosque) son económicamente eficientes y generan mayor rentabilidad en comparación con sistemas especializados, excepto para cultivo de soja. Así que es probable que en el mediano plazo exista un cambio de comportamiento de los productores en la adopción de estas tecnologías a la agricultura de bajo carbono.No atual cenário de aquecimento global, a expansão para novas áreas tem pressionado o aumento do desmatamento tendo como conseqüência o aumento na emissão de gases de efeito estufa. Neste contexto sobre aquecimento global, o Brasil se propõe a estimular e implantar, uma agricultura de baixa emissão de carbono. A mudança só ocorre se a tecnologia a ser adotada trouxer maiores ganhos ao produtor. Assim, mostrou-se nesta pesquisa que, principalmente para os produtores pesquisados, os sistemas integrados (lavoura-pecuária-floresta) são eficientes economicamente e geram maiores retornos se comparados aos sistemas especializados, exceção para cultura da soja.
