Resumo: | This work deals to the analyzis of the multifactor productivity index, as well as its partial productivity for the Brazilian agroindustry. To do it, the PIA, published by IBGE was used, for the years of 1996 and 2006. By using these data, it was possible to show the importancy of agroindustry to Brasil economy. Following to that, the aproximation of Tornquivst indeed metodology was used to calculate the productivity. There was, with the construction of partial productivity index, that the capital input and the labor input of the agroindustry showed itself productive. And with the use of the Tornqvist method to the calculation multifactor productivity, the agroindustry showed a productivity growth of 26,11% at the end of the period analyzed. |
