Resumo: | Management of Municipal Solid Waste in Ilhéus has gone through a series of interventions involving physical readjustment and management of the landfill. The research analyzed the recycling chain and the social and economic aspects of waste pickers who work within the landfill Islanders. The research involved the use of semi-structured questionnaire to 40 pickers, and document analysis. With the data obtained, we conclude that the scavengers played in the year 2012 their activities informally, individually and without physical and functional structure. The recycling market Ilhéus stops generating 90% of revenue that municipal solid waste can provide. According to the data analyzed, the monthly revenue generated in 2012 for each collector on average was equivalent to 62% of the minimum wage. The absence of an effective program of selective collection, the municipality of Ilhéus leaves provide revenue to social inclusion, and reduce environmental impacts caused by improper disposal of solid waste. |

EdUnioeste2015-02-12info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.documentapplication/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheetapplication/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheethttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/731910.48075/igepec.v18i2.7319Informe GEPEC; v. 18 n. 2 (2014); 37-501679-415X1676-067010.48075/igepec.v18i2reponame:Informe Gepec (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE)instacron:UNIOESTEporhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/7319/8233https://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/7319/18089https://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/7319/18090https://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/7319/18091Martinhago, Makelly WickertGomes, Andréa da SilvaMelo de Lucena, Emerson Antônio Rochainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-05-16T22:13:08Zoai:ojs.e-revista.unioeste.br:article/7319Revistahttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepecPUBhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/oairevista.gepec@gmail.com1679-415X1676-0670opendoar:2023-05-16T22:13:08Informe Gepec (Online) - Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE)false |
