Resumo: O artigo a seguir foca em analisar os impactos dos royalties de Itaipu no desenvolvimento dos municípios lindeiros paranaenses em comparação aos municípios do Paraná que não o receberam. Para isso, primeiramente, far-se-á uma análise descritiva acerca dos royalties e do desenvolvimento dos municípios e após, uma análise de seu impacto, através do método Propensity Score Matching(PSM), buscando verificar diferenças no nível de desenvolvimento entre os municípios receptores e não receptores de royalties causados por essa renda adicional. A proxy utilizada para o desenvolvimento será o Índice IPARDES de Desempenho Municipal (IPDM) e a análise se concentrará para os anos de 2010 e 2016, além de conferir sua evolução durante esse período.
