Resumo: | The State of Amazonas is dependent on a single economic matrix,the Manaus Free Trade Zone.The research analyzed the potential of the bioeconomy that make it an alternative economic matrix for the Amazon,taking advantage of the regional potential and the rich biodiversity present in the state.Used for data collection was the Panel of Experts and the IBGE.It was found that one of the ways for the bioeconomy to become an alternative economic matrix is through large investments from the public sector,public-private partnerships and all areas of the economy,as well as investments in Science,Technology and Innovation.It is concluded that bioeconomy has the potential to be a new alternative economic matrix for the State of Amazonas in order to envision a promising future for the region. |

O Estado do Amazonas é dependente de uma única matriz econômica, a Zona Franca de Manaus-ZFM. A pesquisa caracterizou-se como descritiva, exploratória e bibliográfica. Foram coletados dados por meio de questionário, aplicado a um Painel de Especialistas, e de consulta ao sítio eletrônico do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística-IBGE. Constatou-se que o caminho para que a bioeconomia se torne alternativa de matriz econômica é através de grandes investimentos advindos do setor público, de parcerias público-privadas e de todas as áreas da economia, assim como investimentos em Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação-CT&I. Conclui-se que a bioeconomia tem potencialidades para ser uma nova alternativa de matriz econômica para o Estado do Amazonas de forma a vislumbrar um futuro promissor a região. ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to analyze the potential of the bioeconomy to become an alternative economic matrix for the State of Amazonas, benefiting from its regional riches, as well as from the vast biodiversity. Therefore, the State of Amazonas is dependent on a single economic matrix, the Free Zone of Manaus-ZFM. The research was characterized as descriptive, exploratory and bibliographical. Data were collected through a questionnaire, applied to a Panel of Specialists, and by consulting the website of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics-IBGE. It was found that the way for the bioeconomy to become an alternative economic matrix is through large investments from the public sector, public-private partnerships and all areas of the economy, as well as investments in Science, Technology and Innovation-ST&I .
