Resumo: This article seeks to identify the conditioning factors that influence generational succession in an integrated model of poultry and swine production in the region of Vale do Taquari-RS. Field research was carried out with information collection through semi-structured questionnaires, carried out on rural properties with successors and possible successors. The survey results point to some factors for permanence or return, including: social, such as family influence and socialization of internal decisions; economics such as commercial security and access to mechanization of production; environmental factors such as the quality of life on their own land and the existing productive structure. The results also show that the evaluation of managerial successors for the return comprises the use of new technologies tends to enhance adherence and permanence on the farm.

Se realizó una investigación de campo con recolección de información a través de cuestionarios semiestructurados, realizados en predios rurales con sucesores y posibles sucesores. Los resultados de la encuesta apuntan a algunos factores de permanencia o retorno, entre ellos: sociales, como la influencia familiar y la socialización de las decisiones internas; aspectos económicos como la seguridad comercial y el acceso a la mecanización de la producción; factores ambientales como la calidad de vida en la propia tierra y la estructura productiva existente. Los resultados también muestran que la evaluación de los sucesores gerenciales para el retorno comprende el uso de nuevas tecnologías que tiende a mejorar la adherencia y permanencia en la finca.O presente artigo busca identificar os fatores condicionantes que influenciam a sucessão geracional em modelo integrado de produção avícola e suinícola na região do Vale do Taquari-RS. Realizou-se pesquisa de campo com coleta de informações através de questionários semiestruturados, realizados nas propriedades rurais com sucessores e possíveis sucessores. Constatou-se que o perfil predominante entre os respondentes, sucessores que retornaram após um período fora das propriedades de suas famílias. Além disso, alguns aspectos do ponto de vistas dos sucessores acerca de sistema de produção e o mercado agropecuário, como suas visões de mercado, os aspectos que levaram a continuação dos trabalhos exercidos na propriedade, suas intenções de continuar no sistema e a diversificações de produção nas propriedades.
