O objetivo da pesquisa foi identificar a trajetória da iniciativa de mulheres da Associação Amor-Peixe, de Corumbá/MS, Brasil, no período de 2013-2018, assim como interpretar os sentidos atribuídos à sua continuidade, em termo de desafios enfrentados e de forças de propulsão atribuídas por suas aspirações. Além de fontes bibliográficas e documentais, a pesquisa se valeu de entrevistas semiestruturadas junto às protagonistas. Os resultados revelaram uma trajetória de sucesso mantida entre 2003 e 2010, sob iniciativa das mulheres de uma comunidade de pescadores. No entanto, o desmonte das políticas públicas e o afastamento dos parceiros, num momento em que se verificava seu processo de autonomização, repercutiu em outra realidade em 2018. A interpretação das percepções atribuídas por elas permitiu considerar que as perspectivas de futuro se davam em função das aspirações construídas socialmente por elas nesse processo, que davam sentido às suas experiências pessoais como mulheres.ABSTRACT: The objective of the research was to identify the trajectory of the women's initiative of the Amor-Peixe Association, in Corumbá/MS,Brazil, in the period 2013-2018, as well as to interpret the meanings attributed to it’s continuity, in terms of the challenges faced and of propulsion forces attributed to their aspirations. In addition to bibliographic and documentary sources, the research used semi-structured interviews with the protagonists. The results revealed a successful trajectory maintained between 2003 and 2010, of the initiative of women from a fishing community. However, the dismantling of public policies and the withdrawal of partners, at a time when their process of autonomization was taking place, had repercussions in another reality in 2018. The interpretation of the perceptions attributed by them allowed us to consider that the prospects for the future were due to the aspirations socially constructed by them in this process, which gave meaning to their personal experiences as women.
