The objective of this paper is to describe analytically the economic policies practiced during the Rousseff government, in order to verify if the Brazilian economy fits in with what is described by the dynamics of interventionism. In order to achieve the objectives, a bibliographical research, in books, articles, newspapers and conjuncture letters. The work is divided into two chapters, the first seeks to analyze the dynamics of the interventionism of the Austrian school from the from three authors, Ludwig von Mises, Rothbard Murray and Sanford Ikeda. The dynamics of interventionism is concerned with analyzing how state intervention in the economy occurs and what effects they generate. For the authors of this theory, interventions affect the market capacity of adapt to the frequent changes that occur in economies. In addition, interventions they have unforeseen and undesirable consequences on the economy, worsening the economic scenario. The second chapter of the paper is intended to analytically describe the economic policies of the Rousseff administration, in particular exchange rate policy, in the light of the theory of interventionism. Many economists say that since 2008 a new conduct of economic policies. This new model becomes even more latent from President Dilma Rousseff's government, where the pillars of the macroeconomic tripod inflation targets, primary surplus and floating exchange rates) are relaxed.
