Resumo: O presente trabalho analisa o conceito de hierarquia a partir da perspectiva política. Mostra a origem da hierarquia, desde seu núcleo na Thearchia, passa pelas fileiras angélicas e eclesiásticas e procura evidenciar os desdobramentos na organização da Igreja e sociedade. A tese fundamental é: a Thearchia absolutamente transcendente, inefável, incognoscível, por meio das hierarquias, exerce função de princípio de organização da ordem imanente do mundo.
