Resumo: The aim of this article is carry out, through bibliographic and normative research, a dialogue between law and medicine about the realization of the right to comprehensive health care for transgender people in the face of the STF's recognition of the right to adapt the name and gender for extrajudicial life, without the need for surgeries and the depathologization of transgenderity by the World Health Organization.
