Benefits of a strategic compensation plan in the production area of employee perspective

Resumo: This study aims to identify the benefits of a strategic compensation plan for employees of the production area of a medium-sized plastic segment company. The data collection instrument was developed from the Profit Sharing (PS), which was adapted from the model of Wood Jr. and Picarelli Filho (1999) and Della Rosa (2000). In addition, semi-structured interviews were conducted with managers of the investigated company. Therefore, we applied a qualitative research exploratory, through research case study strategy. The main results were as follows: decreased turnover and absenteeism; increased employee retention; better satisfaction and employee performance; greater engagement/team commitment; and strategic remuneration should be aligned with the organization's strategies.

O instrumento de coleta de dados foi desenvolvido sob a ótica da Participação nos Lucros e Resultados (PLR), tendo sido adaptado do modelo de Wood Jr. e Picarelli Filho (1999) e Della Rosa (2000). Além disso, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestores da empresa investigada. Para tanto, aplicou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório, por meio da estratégia de pesquisa estudo de caso.
