Resumo: This article aims to analyze the journalistic objectivation of “great events”. The concept of “evenementalization”, imagined by Foucault as a certain manner which Kant described an event or a set of events, against the historic “de-evenementalization”, give materiality to an action of present recognition that could appear in the journalistic coverage of a set of 18 periodicals of reference on the victory of Obama to the presidency of the United States in 2008.
