Resumo: Two musician sociologists asked themselves this question: how can four guys who have never met and who have no written music, meet, shake hands, and start playing in a way that sounds like they’ve been working together for years. Faulkner and Becker decided to answer this question with field research. Because they lived 3,000 miles apart they cooperated via e-mail, thus preserving a record of the creative scientific process as it really occurs.Key words: music, repertoire, fieldwork methods.

Verso e Reverso2013-10-17info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereverso/article/view/ver.2013.27.66.0210.4013/ver.2013.27.66.02Verso e Reverso; v. 27 n. 66: Ano XXVII - 2013/3; 152-1641806-6925reponame:Verso e Reverso (Online)instname:Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS)instacron:UNISINOSenghttps://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereverso/article/view/ver.2013.27.66.02/3789Becker, Howard S.Falkner, Robert R.info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2015-01-09T16:40:54Zoai:ojs2.revistas.unisinos.br:article/5829Revistahttp://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereversoPRIhttp://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereverso/oaiperiodicos@unisinos.br||bmarocco@unisinos.br1806-69250103-1414opendoar:2015-01-09T16:40:54Verso e Reverso (Online) - Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS)false
