Resumo: The article highlights two very specific discussions on the English rock band The Fall. So, it tries to bring them to the debate on the rock music done in Rio Grande do Sul State, since the 1980s. Basically, it is an exploratory study, which relies on critical and initial bibliographic reviews to refine analytical angles and test issues to be problematized inside a newly started research project.Keywords: The Fall, Mark E.
