The current study investigates the Social Representations of Black University Women on the Meanings of Being a Black Woman and Social Identity, based on the theoretical basis of the Social Representations by Moscovici (1978; 2005) Jodelet (2001) (re)constructed from the Ego Theory - Ecological Zavalloni (1980) It links the discussion of the self-recognition of race of the black Marajoara woman to the debates of authors such as Munanga (2006) Akotirene (2019) and Gomes (2012) on the identity of blackness. The data obtained through semi-structured interviews present as results part of the Known Identity category studied by the Ego-ecological Theory in three phases. From the participants' speeches, they provoke social representations about a social identity built on a family basis and in a university environment, with the need for representations of each subject about himself so that he can perceive himself as a result of the environment.
