THE INFLUENCE OF EXECUTIVES IN ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY

Resumo: | For 80 years, the academy has sought to assertively understand the role of executives in organizations. Researchers attempted to respond to this problem and produced articles. This study aimed to identify the magnitude of the international academic production about the impact of executives on organizational performance, through a bilibometric study. Using the laws of Bilbiometry, he identified the current relevance of the topic, with annual output rising, in high impact factor journals: Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management. Donald Hambrick emerges as a great seminal author, including for the managerial discretion construct. The present study indicates two possibilities for future studies. |

Los investigadores intentaron responder a este problema y produjeron artículos. De esta manera, este estudio objetiva identificar la magnitud de la producción académica internacional acerca del impacto de los ejecutivos sobre el desempeño organizacional, por medio de estudio bilibométrico. En la mayoría de los casos, la mayoría de las personas que sufren de esta enfermedad, se encuentran en la mayoría de los casos. Donald Hambrick emerge como gran autor seminal, incluso para el constructo directivo discreción. El presente estudio apunta dos posibilidades de estudios futuros.Há 80 anos, a academia busca compreender assertivamente o papel dos executivos nas organizações. Pesquisadores intencionaram responder a esse problema e produziram artigos. Desta feita, este estudo objetiva identificar a magnitude da produção acadêmica internacional acerca do impacto dos executivos sobre o desempenho organizacional, por meio de estudo bilibométrico. Valendo-se das leis da Bilbiometria, identificou a atualidade do tema, com produção anual ascendente, em periódicos de alto fator de impacto: Strategic Management Journal,Academy of Management Journal eJournal of Management. Donald Hambrick emerge como grande autor seminal, inclusive para o construto managerial discretion.
