IDENTIFICATION OF PERFORMANCE METRICS IN THE INTER-RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PORT AND BONDED WAREHOUSE AGENTS: A STUDY ON THE PRIME GRANITE IMPORT PROCESS

Resumo: This research focused on the process of importing containerized cargo, specifically the prime granite product drained by a port in Northeastern Brazil in order to identify performance metrics in the interrelationship between the port and bonded warehouse agents. Interviews were conducted with agents responsible for the process of importing prime granite and mapping the product chain and surveying the activities carried out by the port and the bonded warehouse. Thus, it is possible to apply the Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR) logistics approach, which aims to improve the supply chain. In this work, the process and performance sections of the SCOR model are highlighted. The activities carried out in the prime granite chain were systematically structured and the corresponding metrics were identified.

The activities carried out in the prime granite chain were systematically structured and the corresponding metrics were identified.Esta investigación tuvo como foco el proceso de importación de la carga en contenedor, específicamente del producto granito prime dado salida por un puerto de Nordeste de Brasil con el objetivo de identificar métricas de desempeño en la interrelación entre los agentes puerto y almacén aduanero.  Se Realizó entrevistas con los agentes responsables por el proceso de importación del granito prime y, el mapeo de la cadena del producto y el análisis de las actividades ejecutadas por el puerto y por el almacén aduanero. Así siendo posible aplicar el enfoque logístico Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR), la cual visa la mejoría de la cadena de abastecimiento. Siendo destacado en este trabajo las secciones de procesos y performance del modelo SCOR. Se estructuró sistemáticamente las actividades ejecutadas en la cadena del granito prime y se identificó las métricas correspondientes.Esta pesquisa focou-se no processo de importação da carga conteinerizada, especificamente do produto granito prime escoada por um porto do Nordeste do Brasil com o objetivo de identificar métricas de desempenho na inter-relação entre os agentes porto e armazém alfandegado.  Realizou-se entrevistas com os agentes responsáveis pelo processo de importação do granito prime e, o mapeamento da cadeia do produto e o levantamento das atividades executadas pelo porto e pelo armazém alfandegado. Assim sendo possível aplicar a abordagem logística Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR), a qual visa a melhoria da cadeia de abastecimento. Sendo destacado neste trabalho as seções de processos e performance do modelo SCOR.
