ADHERENCE TO THE LEVELS OF STRATEGIC CONTROL: STUDY IN A BRAZILIAN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY

Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate the adhesion of control levers presented by Simons (1995) in a Brazilian pharmaceutical industry. Data collected through a survey of 118 managers revealed the balanced presence of the belief system, limits, diagnosis and interaction. Thereunto, in order to leverage all levers, and as an empirical contribution, it is suggested to revise the company's strategic planning and code of ethics, to disseminate the business results obtained and to create a policy for generating ideas with a view to engage employees in the management process and lead them in achieving organizational goals.

Los datos levantados mediante survey a 118 gestores revelaron la presencia equilibrada del sistema de creencias, límites, diagnóstico e interactivo. Para potenciar las palancas, y como contribución empírica, se sugiere la revisión de la planificación estratégica y código de ética, la divulgación de los resultados obtenidos y la creación de una política de generación de ideas, con miras a involucrar a los colaboradores en el proceso de gestión y conducirlos al logro de las metas organizacionales.O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a aderência das alavancas de controle apresentadas por Simons (1995) em uma indústria farmacêutica brasileira. Dados levantados mediante survey junto a 118 gestores revelaram a presença equilibrada do sistema de crenças, limites, diagnóstico e interativo.
