Resumo: The objective of the study was to analyze the strategic behavior, typified according to the typology of Miles and Snow (1978) and Porter (1980), in the economic-financial performance of the Brazilian agribusiness organizations, listed in B3. Eighteen companies in the non-cyclical sector linked to agribusiness analyzed. The data submitted to the Multivariate Analysis of Variance test and the Tuckey test. The results indicate that companies with Prospector strategic behavior have higher General Liquidity indexes when compared to companies with other strategic behaviors. The results indicate that companies with a Hybrid strategic behavior have higher Asset Profitability and are smaller, when these compared with companies that have adopted only a strategic behavior, that is, Differentiation, Leadership in Costs and Focus.

Se analizaron 18 empresas del sector no cíclico vinculadas al agronegocio. Los datos fueron sometidos a la prueba de Análisis de Varianza Multivariante y la prueba de Tuckey. Los resultados indican que las empresas con comportamiento estratégico Prospector tienen índices de liquidez general más altos en comparación con las empresas con otros comportamientos estratégicos. Los resultados indican que las empresas con un comportamiento estratégico Híbrido tienen una Rentabilidad de Activos más alta y son de menor tamaño, cuando se comparan con empresas que han adoptado solo un comportamiento estratégico, es decir, Diferenciación, Liderazgo en Costos y Enfoque.O objetivo do estudo foi analisar o comportamento estratégico, tipificada de acordo com a tipologia de Miles e Snow (1978) e Porter (1980), no desempenho econômico-financeiro das organizações do agronegócio brasileiro listadas na B3. Foram analisadas 18 empresas do setor não-cíclico ligadas ao agronegócio. Os dados foram submetidos ao teste de Análise Multivariada de Variância e Teste de Tuckey. Os resultados indicam que as empresas com comportamento estratégico Prospector tem maiores índices de Liquidez Geral ao serem comparadas com as companhias dos demais comportamentos estratégicos.
