Resumo: This study aims to analyze the perceptions of the Baby Boomers, X and Y generations, about environmental sustainability, environmental practices and sustainable consumption. Regarding the methodology used, this was a quantitative and descriptive research, through a survey, applied in the northern region of Rio Grande do Sul. The results highlight that the current generations are concerned about the future of the next generations, as they seek new Habits, a reeducation in the actions that can minimize the impacts caused by the misuse of the natural resources, as well as the adequate segregation of the residues generated.

En cuanto a la metodología utilizada, se trató de una investigación cuantitativa y descriptiva, a través de una encuesta, aplicada en la región norte de Rio Grande do Sul. Los resultados destacan que las actuales generaciones están preocupadas por el futuro de las próximas generaciones, pues buscan nuevos los hábitos, una educación en las acciones que pueda minimizar los impactos ocasionados por la mala utilización de los recursos naturales, así como la segregación adecuada de los residuos generados.Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a percepção das gerações Baby Boomers, X e Y, sobre a sustentabilidade ambiental, as práticas ambientais e o consumo sustentável. Em relação à metodologia utilizada, tratou-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa e descritiva, através de uma survey, aplicada na região norte do Rio Grande do Sul.
