Resumo: | The present work analyses the relation between discourse and context, focusing especially on the dimensions and importance of what is understood, in general, by social determinations of discourse. And because our main theoretical reference is Bakhtin, the reflection interprets the notion of context as social voices, which cause a dialogic encounter between the social and the polyphonic in its relation with the discourse of a given speaker. The social and polyphonic dimensions of discourse, in their turn, put at play what we understand as quotation, whose functioning is present in the text through repeated examples of irony. |

Por tener como principal referencia teórica la voz de Bakhtin, la reflexión opera la noción de contexto como voces sociales que, en la relación con el discurso de un dado emisor, llevan a cabo un encuentro dialógico y polifónico con lo social. La dimensión dialógica y polifónica del discurso, a su vez, pone en escena lo que se entiende por citación, cuya manera de operar en el texto se hace frecuentemente poniendo como ejemplo, la ironía.Ce travail aborde le rapport entre discours et contexte, surtout les dimensions et l’importance de ce que l’on entend, en général, par les déterminations sociales du discours. Et, par le fait d’avoir comme référence théorique principale la voix de Bakhtine, la réflexion opérationnalise la notion de contexte comme des voix sociales dont, dans la relation avec l’énonceur, effectuent une rencontre dialogique et polyphonique du discours, de son côté met en scène ce que l’on entend par citation, dont l’opérationnalisation se fait, dans le texte, prennant, plusieurs fois, à titre d’exemple, l’ironie.O presente trabalho aborda a relação de discurso e contexto, focando especialmente as dimensões e a importância do que se entende, em geral, por determinações sociais do discurso. E por ter como referência teórica principal a voz de Bakhtin, a reflexão operacionaliza a noção de contexto como vozes sociais que, na relação com o discurso de um dado enunciante, efetivam um encontro dialógico e polifônico com o social.
