Resumo: | This paper aims to present aspects of research experience with oral sources. It also emphasizes the potential of this methodology in the Education History writing. It investigated childhood practices and ways to understanding and meaning them through the memory of fifteen interviewees aged between 70 and 89 years old. In their childhood, these elderlies were students in public schools of the urban nucleus of Florianopolis city, Santa Catarina State, from 1930 to 1950. Michel de Certeau was the theoretical contribution to think the narrative as art of saying, the childhood practices and the everyday. According to Walter Benjamin, the concepts of narrator, experience and history guided the reflections about the elderlies as narrators, as well as the capacity to narrate in our time. |

Fueron investigadas prácticas de la infancia y modos de significarlas a partir de la memoria de quince entrevistados con edad entre 70 y 89 años. Esos mayores fueron alumnos de escuelas públicas del núcleo urbano de Florianópolis (SC), en el período de 1930 a 1950. Michel de Certeau fue el aporte teórico para pensar la narrativa como arte de decir, el cotidiano y las prácticas de la infancia. Los conceptos de narrador, de experiencia y de historia, en la perspectiva de Walter Benjamin, fueron base para las reflexiones acerca de los mayores como narradores y de la propia capacidad de narrar en nuestro tiempo. Este artigo objetiva apresentar aspectos de experiência de pesquisa com fontes orais e ressaltar a potencialidade dessa metodologia na escrita da História da Educação. Investiga práticas da infância e modos de interpretá-las e significá-las pela memória de quinze entrevistados com idade entre 70 e 89 anos. Esses velhos, em sua infância, foram alunos em escolas públicas do núcleo urbano de Florianópolis (SC), de 1930 a 1950. Michel de Certeau foi o aporte teórico para pensar a narrativa como arte de dizer, o cotidiano e as práticas da infância. Os conceitos do narrador, de experiência e de história, na perspectiva de Walter Benjamin, balizaram as reflexões acerca dos velhos como narradores e a própria capacidade de narrar em nosso tempo.
