EDUCATIONAL LEGISLATION AND ANTI-RACISM: BRAZIL AND COLOMBIA

Resumo: In this text, we aim to compare the antiracist educational legislation of Brazil and Colombia, focusing on the black population: Law 10.639/03 and the Afro-Colombian Studies Chair. We start from the point of view of the coloniality of power, by Quijano (2005), and the different forms of mobilization of black people in both countries. We argue that current country legislation meets the anti-racist agenda to overcome aspects of the coloniality of power in education.

Partimos desde la perspectiva de la colonialidad del poder, de Quijano (2005), y las diversas formas de movilización de personas negras en ambos países. Se argumenta que las leyes actuales de los países tienen convergencia en el programa antirracista para la superación de los aspectos de la colonialidad del poder en la educación.Neste texto, temos por objetivo comparar a legislação educacional antirracista do Brasil e da Colômbia, com foco na população negra: a Lei 10.639/03 e a Cátedra de estudos Afro-colombianos. Partimos do ponto de vista da colonialidade do poder, de Quijano (2005), e das diferentes formas de mobilização de negros nos dois países.
