Resumo: | This paper takes as its starting point the Law 10.639/03, which establishes the compulsory teaching of African and African-Brazilian history and culture in educational institutions. Then, it goes back to the early twentieth century to understand how Negroes were treated in textbooks from that time, a period when legislation for these school supplies was consolidated in the country. At the same time, with the decline of racial theories in Brazil, it was intended to create a nation where all Brazilians would have a common identity. The object of research is the book of History of Brazil Nossa Patria: narração dos factos da História do Brasil, atraves da sua evolução com muitas gravuras explicativas, by Rocha Pombo (1925), whose publication was strong in schooling in the first half of twentieth century. |

Dans la sequence, on se tourne au début du XXe siècle afin de comprendre comment les Noirs ont été traités dans les manuels de cette époque, un periode dans lequel une législation pour ces manuels a été consolidée. Au même temps, avec le déclin des théories raciales au Brésil, il y eu l'intention de créer une nation où tous les Brésiliens avaient une identité commune. L'objet de la recherche est le manuel de l'histoire du Brésil Nossa Patria: narração dos factos da História do Brasil, atraves da sua evolução com muitas gravuras explicativas, de Rocha Pombo (1925), dont la publication a eu un fort impact dans l'enseignement dans la première moitié du XXe siècle.Este trabalho toma como ponto de partida a Lei 10.639/03 que estabelece a obrigatoriedade do ensino de História e Cultura Africana e Afro-Brasileira nas Instituições de Ensino e volta-se para o início do século XX para entender como os negros eram tratados nos livros didáticos daquela época, um período em que se consolidou no país uma legislação para tais materiais escolares. No mesmo tempo, com o declínio das teorias raciais no Brasil, pretendia-se criar uma nação onde todos os brasileiros tivessem uma identidade comum. O objeto de investigação é o livro de História do Brasil “Nossa Patria: narração dos factos da História do Brasil, atraves da sua evolução com muitas gravuras explicativas”, de Rocha Pombo (1925) cuja publicação se fez muito forte na escolarização na primeira metade do século XX.
